£24,000 - £26,500 per annum plus study support (AAT, CIMA, ACCA)
Tony Alan Recruitment is currently recruiting an exciting job opportunity for a Accounts Accounts to join a growing and established business just outside the Steyning area on a permanent basis.
This is a new role arising from the growth and restructure in the business. This would suit someone who wants to progress and study (AAT, CIMA, ACCA). The job duties below are what you will be exposed to and more after training. Key thing is attitude, desire to work hard and learn.
Your duties will include:
- To carry out general purchase ledger duties, to include processing invoices, reconcile supplier statements and ensure a high level of accuracy is maintained
- Manage aged credit reports; reconcile balances to statements on general ledgers
- Prepare monthly supplier payment runs & customer direct debit payments for BACS submission
- Process new supplier requests - ensuring the correct checks are carried out, obtaining approval, and setting up the accounts
- Agree and reconcile daily bank postings (bank statements, vehicle, service & parts banking).
- Upload daily BACS payments to the bank.
- To carry out general sales ledger duties
- Manage aged debt reports; chase outstanding balances and maintain unallocated funds across general ledgers
- Reconcile and post intercompany journals to clear internal debtor and creditor accounts daily
- Preparation of reports for month end balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage the accounts payable email inbox for any queries relating to your responsibilities.
Key requirements:
- 1 year experience of working in a finance team
- Good understanding and use of Excel daily
- Desire to want to learn and progress
- Car owner
