Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Operatives
Location: Ayrshire & Clyde.
Hours: Full time, Permanent 4 year contract
Rate: £13 per hour, plus overtime.
Must have: Scottish Power 5th Edition APSA / formally EN1
Role Purpose
We are currently seeking dedicated and skilled Grounds Maintenance Operatives on behalf of our client who are a well-established commercial grounds maintenance company based in the Preston area and servicing sites in North Wales daily. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the grounds for S P Energy networks sites on a 4-year contract.
Responsibilities:
- Working independently or as part of a two-person operations team, closely supported by our dedicated contract teams.
- Ensure the highest standards of health and safety are maintained throughout all operations.
- Conduct routine grounds maintenance tasks, in accordance with company procedures and client requirements.
Essential
- A minimum of 3 years' arboriculture experience.
- NPTC qualifications: Chainsaw maintenance and cross-cutting (CS30), Tree felling up to 380mm (CS31), Tree climbs and Aerial Rescue (CS38), Use of a chainsaw from a rope and harness (CS39).
- Conscientious, hardworking, and thrives on physical labour.
- Eager to apply skills with a keen and willing attitude.
- Excellent communication and customer liaison skills.
- Strict adherence to health & safety procedures.
- Adherence to company rules and procedures regarding tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Competent in verbal and email communication.
Essential Criteria:
- Scottish Power 5th Edition APSA / formally EN1
- Ability to work using own initiative and as part of a team.
- NPTC PA1 & PA6 (preferably knapsack spraying)
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable Criteria:
- Woodchipper / Chainsaw
- Manual Handling certification
- First Aid certification
