**Payroll & Accounts Assistant

I am seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll & Accounts Assistant to join a finance team. This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of their payroll, as well as providing support with various accounting tasks.
**Day to day of the role:
- Administer payroll processes, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
- Update payroll records by recording changes including insurance coverage, loan payments, salary increases, and other deductions.
- Prepare financial reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, and non-taxable wages.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analysing information.
- Support the accounts team with accounts payable and receivable tasks.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and reconciliations.
- Maintain confidentiality of payroll and financial information.
- Provide support for various accounting projects and initiatives as needed.
**Required skills & qualifications:
- Experience with payroll processing and a good understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
