Hays Education are currently supporting a Dudley based SEN school looking to appoint a School Business Manager. The role is to commence ASAP. There is an opportunity for temporary to permanent for the right individual. The role will be Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm.
Your new role
Working closely with the head teacher you will have responsibility for the finance, H&S and HR operations within the school.
You will be responsible for ensuring that:
- Best value is obtained for all services engaged and purchases made within school
- the administration and site teams work smoothly and efficiently
- Annual budgets are adhered to, and applications are made for available grants to provide additional external funding where possible.
- Provide regular reports for the head and governing body for the school.
- Line management for Admin, site, and catering staff.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful applicant will have:
- Excellent organisation and communications skills
- Demonstrate high standards and expectations of themselves and direct reports
- Experience and skills in financial management, including budgetary planning, control, and auditing
- A high level of IT literacy
- Experience with SIMS/ FMS / Voyager
- Experience of HR management - Absence, probation etc
- Experience with Facilities management.
- Experience with Special school budget setting
