The Client

Harmonic are delighted to working exclusively with a fast scaling and profitable events business who are disrupting their market. Our client is looking for a Finance Manager to start immediately and support their finance team as they come into a period of high workload. Our client turned over circa £20m last year and given their smaller headcount and lower operating costs they remain very profitable, with this expected to grow further this year.

A dynamic and forward-thinking business who have grown substantially from their start-up origins. Their B2B service is unmatched in the industry with significant room to grow, they are focused on continued sustainable growth. With a focus on offering the highest level of customer service and curating unique experiences for their clients. Our client offers a 4 day per week working model, 3 days working in their fantastic West London workspace.

The Role

Reporting into the CFO and with exposure to the founding team, this role is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact within a fast-growing business. The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing a team and a passion for mentoring more junior professionals in the team (3 reports), as well as a willingness to be hands on with the day-to-day financial operations of the business. There is also a strong chance of temp-to-perm with role also, should the fit for both client and candidate be right.

Responsibilities

  • Manage cashflow and working capital.
  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations.
  • Month-end close procedures.
  • Work closely with the directors to ensure timely review of financial forecasts.
  • Lead a team of 3 more junior accountants ensuring their work is delivered in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Support the CFO with forecasting, variance analysis, and other FP&A tasks.
  • Ad-hoc tasks for the CFO and directors.

Essential Experience

  • Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • 5 years' experience in finance, ideally 2 years managing a finance team.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and an analytical thinker.

Bonus Experience

  • Experience working in a B2B company.
  • Experience in a dynamic start-up environment is preferred.

Day rate: £350- £400 per day (Outside IR35)

Location: West London (3 days per week in office)

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Length: 3 Months (potential temp-to-perm)
