Support Desk Engineer

Location: Required to do on call for out of hours for leased line support (Average of 1 call a month)

Salary: £28,000 to £35,000 DOE (£62.50/week when on call)

Benefits: 25 days' annual leave + public/bank holidays, birthday day off

To provide technical support and advice externally and internally. This will be achieved by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolved problems at the first point of contact.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Logging Support cases with the appropriate priority and category.
  • Provide incident management appropriate to the priority of cases, with resolution of 1st and 2nd line support queries.
  • Ensuring all SLA's are met within set parameters.
  • Assist the installation engineers with pre and post installation support during the customer's warranty period. This may include programming routers, and handsets as well as basic user and routing configuration on systems.

Qualifications

  • Exposure to Networking and Firewalls, with the ability to carry out change requests and initial 1st/2nd line support
  • 1st line IT support experience
  • MS Teams exposure, particularly around Teams Telephony
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday
  • 9am to 5:30pm
  • Office 2 days a week
  • Willing to work overtime
