Operating from our facility in Barnoldswick, we supply our products not only across the UK but also over 130 countries through an extensive network of agents and dealers.

About the Role:

As a SHEQ Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with safety, health, environment, and quality standards across our organization. You will work closely with our team to meet customer demands and uphold the highest standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections to identify hazards and risks
  • Develop and implement health and safety procedures
  • Investigate incidents and perform root cause analysis
  • Advise on SHEQ regulations and best practices
  • Provide SHEQ training to employees
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and standards
  • Prepare reports on SHEQ metrics
  • Assist site managers with daily briefings and site inductions
  • Support Group Quality Assurance in achieving goals
  • Monitor trade contractors during inspections
  • Handle complaints and non-conformance issues
  • Create toolbox talks and SHEQ training materials
  • Review SHEQ documentation
  • Coordinate with external bodies and stakeholders
  • Support SHEQ Manager in improving SHEQ performance

About You:

We're looking for a meticulous and experienced professional who can drive our SHEQ initiatives forward. The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Full UK Driving License
  • Proven experience as a SHEQ Advisor or similar role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Ability to conduct root cause analysis
  • NEBOSH General Certificate and/or NEBOSH Construction Certificate
  • Environmental qualifications, such as IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management (desirable)

Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

  • Experience in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of legislative requirements and best practices in safety, health, environment, and quality.
  • Experience in audits, inspections, and recommending preventative action.
  • Ability to influence and manage SHEQ matters effectively.
  • Quality auditor experience or a solid understanding of quality processes.
  • Strong analytical and IT skills with the ability to produce plans, spreadsheets, reports, alerts, and presentations.
