Ward/Dept: Radiology

Hours: Full time - 31.5 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Mon-Thurs 8.30-5 Fri 8.30-1

Pay Rates - Day: £23.49

An exciting opportunity has become available within the breast imaging department at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. The team are looking for a radiographer with an interest and a recognised qualification in mammography to join their hard working and friendly team in the busy Breast Imaging Unit. As a Lead Mammographer, you will bring high levels of technical expertise, outstanding patient care and compassion to this role.

Responsibilities of this job role

  • To undertake Breast Imaging procedures adhering to departmental protocols.
  • To be able to assess and evaluate diagnostic images and take responsibility for ensuring optimum image quality.
  • To undertake a range of Mammographic examinations including those required during Interventional Breast Imaging.

To be successful in applying for this role you will need:

DCR or BSc Diagnostic Radiography

Evidence of Continued Professional Development

To hold the Certificate of Competence in Mammography

In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of

  • Relevant Qualifications
  • Registration with the relevant Registration Body if applicable.
