The Role
The school are looking for an experienced and dynamic English teacher to join our team from September. The ideal candidate will be passionate about literature and language and have a proven track record of inspiring students to achieve academic success. This role is available on a full-time basis, with consideration given to part-time applicants who can demonstrate exceptional teaching ability.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons that engage and challenge students.
- Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
- Foster a love for literature and encourage critical thinking and analysis.
- Contribute to the creation of a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
- Experience teaching English at the secondary level.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate instruction.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and collaborative practice.
