Reed Engineering are currently representing a leading CNC business located in Essex and are looking to expand their team of machinists.
Duties:
- Produce precision components from drawings using CNC machines
- Produce accurate, high-quality components with maximum efficiency
- Set and operate CNC milling machines and set associated tooling
- Work to tight tolerances and check your own work meets the required standard
- Work on your own initiative and understand all aspects of the manufacturing process
- Be fully responsible for the quality of work produced
- Clean and maintain CNC machine and all associated equipment and working area.
Skills & Experience:
- Fully skilled time served CNC setter/operator
- Able to interpret engineering drawings and follow written instructions
- Able to use a wide variety of measuring equipment
- Computer literate
- Ability to use Alphacam for programming would be beneficial but will be taught
- Must have good attention to detail, good practical skills
- Must be able to work on own initiative and as part of a team in a safe manner
