The role:
We are looking to add a IT Technician Apprentice to our technical team. This apprenticeship role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience while
studying, setting you on a path towards a successful career in IT. As a company, we like to push what's possible with the platforms we use, building out solutions to try and give us a competitive edge.

This role will be an integral part of building a team that will help us continue to do this and achieve the goals we've set for our next phase of growth.

Salary: £18,000 - £20,000 per annum.

Duties:
The main elements of the role are:

IT Support:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for all hardware and software used within the organisation
  • Install, configure, and maintain personal computers, networks, workstations, networking hardware, and peripheral equipment
  • Respond to IT issues; hardware maintenance, software, networking, etc.
  • Ensure security and privacy protocols are followed to protect systems and data

Operations Platform Support:

  • Provide technical Shopify support to the wider team
  • Provide technical support for wider operations platforms
  • Implement and maintain Shopify product listings, update content, and ensure all listings are optimised for performance and accuracy

Disired skills and qualities:
We want to hear from you if you can demonstrate the following:

  • The ability to address IT issues such as hardware maintenance, software malfunctions, and network problems
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • A clear passion for all things IT and tech

It's an added bonus (but not essential) if you have:

  • Experience using Shopify
  • Knowledge of security and privacy protocols to protect systems and data
  • Proficiency in providing technical support and troubleshooting for hardware and software.

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
