I am recruiting a 1 year fixed term Project Accountant opportunity for a business based in South Nottingham to support the business through a period of transition. This would be suited to someone with a solid grasp on general ledger accounting.

My client is a business based in South Nottingham. They are a forward thinking, progressive business that are currently undergoing change and the Project Accountant is a newly created, key role to support on multiple business projects that will impact the accounting function.
Description
The Project Accountant's duties include but are not limited to:
- Working on projects with the support of the Management Accountant which have an impact on the Accounting function
- Review and drive continuous improvement for business as usual activities within the Accounting team, designing and implementing new processes to improve efficiency's
- Lead and support on a number of business critical projects that have a direct impact on the Accounting function and the wider finance team
- Project implementation and transition into business as usual processes
Profile
The successful candidate will:
- Be a part qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) Accountant
- Be available on short notice
- Have proven experience working in a similar role
- Have a proactive approach and an ability to work independently and manage a number of different stakeholder relationships
- Have intermediate excel skills
- Have an ability to work well to deadlines
- Have good communication, negotiating and influencing skills
Job Offer
The successful candidate can expect a starting salary c£30-35,000 (doe) + an immediate start + 1 day working from home + a 1 year contract with a reputable business
