Operations Manager - Sunbury-on-Thames | £40,000-£45,000 + Car

What You'll Be Doing:
- Reporting daily spend and service performance to the General Manager, using contract performance reports to guide decisions.
- Managing operations to meet customer expectations and exceed KPIs, specifically within a courier or same-day delivery environment.
- Handling customer queries via email and phone, and resolving issues swiftly while communicating with the General Manager.
- Ensuring drivers meet company standards-uniform, budget adherence, and professional conduct.
- Overseeing driver rotas, ensuring coverage for holidays while keeping salary costs under control.
- Maximising contract performance, ensuring smooth, efficient deliveries.
- Monitoring driver behaviour using advanced systems, addressing any speeding or other driving issues promptly.
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure all driver and vehicle information is shared for seamless booking and allocation.
What We're Looking For:
- Solid experience in operations management within a same-day delivery or courier business.
- A decisive, solutions-oriented leader comfortable in a fast-moving environment.
- Proven ability to inspire teams and lead through periods of change.
- Strong Excel skills and proficiency with logistics software systems.
- Excellent organisational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
- A natural communicator with strong interpersonal skills, able to motivate diverse teams.
