Are you passionate about student welfare and pastoral care? Little Lever Secondary School is seeking a dedicated Pastoral Manager to join our supportive team. This non-teaching role involves being a Head of Year for a key stage, providing essential support and guidance to our students.
Position: Pastoral Manager (Head of Year)
Location: Little Lever Secondary School, Little Lever
Hours: 8:00am to 4:00pm
Salary: £105 per day for the right candidate
Contract: Long-term with strong potential to become permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the pastoral care and wellbeing of students within a designated key stage.
- Act as the Head of Year, managing student behaviour, attendance, and overall progress.
- Develop and implement strategies to support students' social, emotional, and academic needs.
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to provide comprehensive support for students.
- Promote a positive and inclusive school culture, fostering strong relationships with students and staff.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing regular reports to senior leadership.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience in a pastoral or student support role within an educational setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to student welfare.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
