Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective maths lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies to ensure all students are challenged and supported.
- Assess, record, and report on the progress and attainment of students.
- Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
- Foster a positive learning environment and manage classroom behaviour effectively.
- Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continual improvement of the department.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience teaching maths at the secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for mathematics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of educational trends and innovations.
