Are you a Mechanical or Building Services Engineer with experience in Renewable Energy or District Heating projects and looking to progress your career by joining a leading Renewable Energy business that can offer a clear development plan to take you to Associate Engineer status?

This company has hundreds of employees spread across the UK and have established themselves as a leading EPC business within the Renewable Energy and Sustainability sectors, with projects covering things such as District Heating schemes as well as commercial and industrial-scale Solar PV and Heat Pump installations. Off the back of a significant amount of investment in recent months, they are looking to continue growing to solidify their already strong position in the industry.

In this role you will be playing a leading role in the delivery of major District Heating and other Renewable Energy projects for both public and private sector clients, such as at hospitals, universities and local councils.

The ideal candidate will be educated to Degree level in Mechanical Engineering, Building Service Engineering or similar, and will have 2+ years of experience working on District Heating or Sustainable Energy projects such as Solar, Heat Pumps or CHP.

The Role:

  • Office-based with some hybrid working (to be discussed with management)
  • Carrying out design work, calculations and feasibility studies for Sustainable Energy projects
  • Assisting with development of junior engineering staff
  • Inputting into business development, bid and tender activities
  • Reviewing costs and cost implications, lifecycle cost analysis etc.
  • Assessing and interpreting client requirements
  • Selecting equipment, carrying out calculations and producing specifications

The Person:

  • Educated to Degree level in relevant Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Building Services etc)
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards this (desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of equipment used in Heating, Energy or Building Services sectors e.g plantrooms, boilers, pipework, etc.
