Job Overview: We are seeking a knowledgeable and adaptable MiFID specalist with a strong background in regulatory business analysis. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set that encompasses regulatory expertise, business analysis, controls, and traceability, as well as a practical understanding of market operations. This position involves consulting on regulatory deliveries, with a specific focus on MiFID, while being flexible to cover various related topics as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyse, and document business requirements related to MiFID compliance and regulatory initiatives.
- Act as a subject-matter expert (SME) on MiFID regulations, providing guidance and support to cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of regulatory changes and enhancements.
- Participate in the design and execution of controls and traceability measures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Conduct gap analysis to identify potential compliance issues and recommend solutions.
- Provide practical insights into the Business As Usual (BAU) operations related to MiFID requirements.
- Work closely with other regulatory frameworks and initiatives, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn new topics.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and key stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience as a regulatory consultant or in a project management capacity is advantageous.
- Knowledge of other MIFID frameworks
- Strong proficiency in regulatory reporting tools and data management solutions.
- Background in a tier 1 bank
