Tax Assistant

We are looking for a Tax assistant to join our client who are a successful financial business going through a period of growth.

This job role is paying up to £30,000.00 per annum on a full time basis based in Kettering and would suit someone looking for a long term career in the financial industry.

Purpose of Position:
Are you a graduate passionate about tax and compliance? Join our team as a Tax Assistant, where you will support the efficient running of the department by working closely with the Tax and Compliance Accountant. This role offers a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your career in tax.

Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation & Filing: Assist with the preparation of company filings and filing companies house accounts.
- Tax Queries & Issues: Handle routine tax queries and liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients.
- Compliance: Request, track, and gather information to complete compliance requirements.
- Research & Advice: Conduct research on specific taxation areas and assist with providing advice.
- Self-Assessment: Prepare self-assessment returns.
- Payroll Support: Assist with the payroll function.
- Company Secretarial Duties: Perform company secretarial tasks as needed.

Experience and Skill Requirements:
- Educational Background:Graduate in Accounting or Finance-related studies.
- Career Ambition: Desire to pursue a career in tax and study ATT and/or CTA.
- IT Proficiency: Excellent IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and advanced Excel.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Independence & Multitasking: Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects.
