Position: Behaviour Support Mentor (1:1 Support)
Location: Mainstream Primary School, Widnes

Contract: Full-time, long-term commitment required
Overview:
Tradewind Recruitment is actively seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behaviour Support Mentor to provide one-to-one support for a Key Stage 2 child in a mainstream primary school located in Widnes. This full-time position requires a commitment to a long-term contract to ensure continuity and stability for the child's needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing one-to-one behaviour support to a Key Stage 2 child, fostering a positive and supportive relationship.
- Implementing tailored strategies to manage and improve the child's behaviour.
- Assisting with the child's academic, social, and emotional development.
- Working closely with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to create and follow an effective support plan.
- Monitoring and recording the child's progress and adapting support as necessary.
- Promoting a safe and inclusive environment that encourages the child's engagement and participation.
Requirements:
- Experience supporting children or adults in a similar capacity.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children with behavioural needs.
- Commitment to a long-term role to provide stability and consistency for the child.
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant/SEN qualification is desirable but not essential.
