Credit Manager

Your new role

  • Manage and lead a team of credit controllers/
  • Overall responsibility for Credit Control, Sales ledger sundry invoice processing, Cash receipting, allocation and the bank reconciliation.
  • Ensure timely collection along with correct procedures, annual appraisals/goals.
  • Responsible for the delivery of enhanced customer service whilst minimalizing bad debt, providing year on year measurable debtor's improvement in order to maximise cash flow, including recognising opportunities within the business wide O2C process and making recommendations for business change.
  • Ensuring all receipting and invoicing is robust with maximum efficiency to cost ratio, providing customer satisfaction and preventing fraudulent activity whilst
  • Review ledgers and income streams.
  • Drive improvements via training and coaching.
  • Ensure the legal and financial procedures are adhered to.
  • Manage lead, communications request with external collection agencies and solicitors

What you'll need to succeed

  • Credit management experience
  • Strong self motivation needed where you are willing to take ownership of solving complex challenges, and able to manage competing demands and work effectively with others under pressure.
  • You have a 'big picture' mindset and understanding of how income and debt management can support wider business objectives, a positive and pragmatic attitude to change, and an ability to lead and motivate others to excel. You are keen to leverage your professional expertise to recommend and support the implementation of appropriate enhancements to process and policy.
  • You are driven by a desire to improve working practices, uphold and maintain robust financial controls, and create a positive environment for both the business and customers.
  • You have strong data analysis and reporting skills, with the ability to identify, combine, and analyse data to answer specific business questions, present data in a clear and simple format, and explain complex financial data to non-specialists.
  • You are experienced in drawing conclusions from complex datasets and able to use this information to prioritise team workload.
