Role: Interim Procurement Manager
Rate: £400 - £500 p/d
Contract: Temporary
Location: Manchester
Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting an Interim Procurement Manager to join a Public Sector organisation in Manchester. The role will be 3 months initially and cover all categories.
The Role:
- Manage change and minimise risk by introducing/maintaining appropriate processes
- Provide strategic procurement advice to other departments within the organisation
- Manage above threshold procurement tenders end-to-end
- Ensure all procurement undertaken is compliant with the relevant UK legislation
- Attend regular meetings with Senior Management to report on procurement progress
- Achieve cost savings, value for money, risk reduction and enhanced social value
- Ensure contracts and supplier database are maintained along with all other tendering, contracting, compliance information
The Person:
- MCIPS or equivalent level of relevant experience
- Public Sector procurement experience
- Experience working at a senior level within a complex organisation
- Available at short notice
