Reward Advisor

This is a Reward Specialist role for our client where you will be responsible for leading the strategic planning and implementation of annual pay and remuneration awards for the company. This role is crucial in ensuring compensation strategies align with market trends, cost of living adjustments, and competitive positioning.

Salary: £36,000 to £40,000 and great benefits

Remote working with occasion travel to central UK offices

Must have experience of delivering reward projects within previous employment

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Analyse, plan, and submit recommendations for annual pay/remuneration award, considering market trends and competitor analysis.
  • Lead the successful implementation of annual pay/remuneration award and pay and reward strategies, ensuring they are well embedded and their impact evaluated.
  • Provide expert advice and recommendations on pay and talent retention to key stakeholders including the Head of People Services & Transformation and Talent & Reward Business Partners.
  • Undertake salary surveys and pay benchmarking exercises as needed, particularly for hard-to-fill or specialist roles.
  • Maintain and review job banding methodology, ensuring a fair and consistent approach across the organisation.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the bi-weekly job banding panel, ensuring pay equity for new or changed job descriptions.
  • Contribute to the development of our Employer Value Proposition and Employer Brand through benchmarking and trend analysis.
  • Research and identify new emerging trends in reward and recognition, ensuring financial sustainability and a good return on investment.
  • Promote reward offerings effectively during the attraction, recruitment, and induction processes.
  • Work closely with the Attendance Lead and Management Development Lead to promote wellbeing and employee recognition initiatives.
  • Monitor the usage and impact of our reward initiatives, adjusting strategies as necessary to increase their effectiveness.
  • Review exit data and pulse surveys to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and accreditation standards relating to pay and reward.
  • Manage third-party relationships, such as with our Real Living Wage accreditation partners.
