Job Description:
Are you an experienced social worker ready to take on the challenge of rapid assessments and critical interventions?
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting immediate assessments, responding to urgent referrals, and ensuring that children and families receive the support they need at a critical time.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting timely and comprehensive assessments of children and families referred to the Initial Response Team.
- Making informed and rapid decisions to ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people.
- Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, external agencies, and community organizations to coordinate urgent interventions.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and safeguarding.
- Communicating effectively with children, families, and other professionals to ensure clarity and understanding in urgent situations.
- Participating in strategy discussions, case conferences, and other meetings as required.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
- Experience in a social work role, particularly within an initial response, assessment, or safeguarding team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage challenging and complex cases.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and safeguarding.
