Monday to Friday, Rotating shifts every week, 6am – 2pm 1st Week, 2pm – 10pm 2nd Week (or 9am - 5pm if needed)
£12.50 per hour
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Counterbalance & Warehouse Operative to join our client's logistics team in Shefford. As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of products within the warehouse. You will be responsible for selecting, storing, and preparing items for shipment using specialised equipment.
Counterbalance nationally accredited licence required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to customer specifications.
- Operate Counterbalance and warehouse equipment to retrieve items from storage locations.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by scanning and documenting items during the picking process.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Assist with restocking and organizing inventory as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily performance targets.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role.
- Counterbalance nationally accredited licence required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management and documentation.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to perform heavy lifting.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
