This amazing Gastro Pub with rooms has a contemporary and stylish backdrop to a pub that specialises in fresh food, exceptional service and a team that exceeds every guest's expectations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly experienced General Manager to grow within an established independent pub group.
General Managers must have a solid CV and experience in Gastro Pubs / Restaurants. A strong Food and Beverage background is essential. The right candidate must be the full article with an in-depth knowledge of back office, stock and financial acumen. It will be also a big help if the General Manager is really into their food and wine with a good all-round knowledge. As a General Manager you will be responsible for organizing the smooth running and growth of the site.
The successful General Manager will drive this business from the floor, delivering the offer with flair and presence. The role is a host to the guests and a coach to the existing large team which comprises of 2 assistant managers and 15 FOH staff. If you are a guest focused, intuitive General Manager and have a passion for food and drink, with at least five years restaurant / pub management experience in a high-volume business.
Your personality and people skills are important to us. We'd also like you to demonstrate that you, are driven, committed and keen to learn and have impressive service-standards. You will need to have the ability to work well within a busy environment and the skills to communicate effectively with the team and customers and maintain the high standards of this busy site.
