The Portfolio Operations Manager will be busy. Improving processes which were designed for a start up but are no longer sustainable for a company in growth will be high on the agenda.

Your new role (Portfolio Operations Manager)

The key responsibilities of the Portfolio Operations Manager are:

  • Managing and leading a team of three
  • Improving processes for a company in growth
  • Dealing with senior and constructively challenging stakeholders
  • Onboarding of new customers
  • Ensuring that their contractual obligations are fulfilled
  • Logging and tracking all volume transactions
  • Utilising historical data and big data sets for future predictions
  • Identifying risks and opportunities

Reporting into the Head of Portfolio and Pricing, the Portfolio Operations Manager will see the commercial heartbeat of the business and work in conjunction with the sales team, in a naturally challenging but rewarding environment.

Benefits

  • Base salary = £40k to £45k
  • WFH ~4-3 days p.w. | Birmingham (B1 - New Street area) ~1-2 day p.w.
  • 24 days holiday (excluding bank holidays). Rising to 26 days after 1 year.
  • Discretionary bonus

Skills and experience to be successful

  • I&C / B2B experience
  • Pricing knowledge within the energy sector and specifically FLEX contracts
  • People management and leadership skills of junior team members
  • Dealing with stakeholders including the Operational and Sales teams.
  • Driving a problem through until completion and resolution
  • An awareness of Regulatory industries
  • Excel and/or Power BI
  • The ability to take data sets, providing insight and recommendations

The Interview Process

  • 60 minute TEAMS interview with the Head of Portfolio & Pricing (HoP&P) + 1 other
  • 60 minute face to face meeting with the Commercial Director & HoP&P
