IT Systems Manager

We are seeking an experienced IT & Systems Manager to lead and manage our IT operations and systems architecture within a dynamic, multi-entity environment. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for maintaining and evolving a robust, secure, and efficient IT ecosystem.

Description

The ideal candidate will bring proven experience from a reputable family office, ERP implementation partner (e.g., Oracle, SAP), or an enterprise-level IT team, and possess a strategic mindset with the technical expertise to drive digital transformation - including AI integration, automation, and advanced data management practices.

Key Responsibilities:
IT Infrastructure & Operations:

  • Lead the planning, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of IT infrastructure in a predominantly Windows environment (Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows Server, Microsoft 365).
  • Oversee network administration, system upgrades, patch management, endpoint management, backup/recovery solutions, and security protocols.
  • Ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability of all IT systems.
  • Develop and enforce robust cybersecurity measures aligned with industry best practices and regulatory standards.

ERP & Business Systems:

  • Manage end-to-end ERP system lifecycle: requirement gathering, vendor selection, solution design, process mapping, implementation, integration, user training, documentation, and ongoing support.
  • Ensure ERP systems align with multi-entity operations across various industries (e.g., automotive, real estate, investment, and technology).
  • Champion data integrity, access controls, and efficient workflows within ERP and related business applications.

AI & Digital Transformation:

  • Evaluate emerging AI tools and technologies relevant to business objectives, including machine learning, workflow automation, and predictive data analytics.
  • Drive adoption and integration of AI solutions into existing systems to enhance efficiency, decision-making, and reporting.
  • Establish and promote ethical AI usage, data governance, and compliance frameworks.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Act as the primary IT liaison with key departments such as finance, operations, investment teams, and audit/compliance.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Develop and deliver user training and ensure smooth change management during system deployments and upgrades.

Audit Readiness & Compliance:

  • Maintain audit-ready systems and documentation, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal controls.
  • Implement best practices for IT security, access management, data privacy, and business continuity.
  • Lead the response to IT-related audit requests and collaborate with internal/external auditors.

Team Leadership & Vendor Management:

  • Lead and mentor a small team of IT engineers, providing guidance, performance management, and professional development.
  • Oversee relationships with technology vendors, consultants, and managed service providers.
  • Develop and manage IT budgets, procurement, licensing, and service contracts.

Profile

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an IT management role within a family office, ERP partner (Oracle, SAP, Dynamics 365), or enterprise-level IT environment.
  • Strong technical expertise in Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, M365, virtualisation platforms (e.g., Hyper-V or VMware), networking, and endpoint security.
  • Demonstrable experience managing ERP implementations across multiple entities and industries.
  • Good understanding of AI concepts, practical experience assessing or implementing AI/automation tools is highly desirable.
  • Solid grasp of audit readiness, IT governance, process controls, and data integrity principles.
  • Excellent communication skills with a track record of cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong project management skills with end-to-end delivery experience.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, MCSE, PMP, ITIL) are a plus.

Job Offer

This role is offering a base salary of £75,000 per annum plus a travel allowance of £570 per month. The role also includes a bonus and other key benefits.

4 Interview Stages will be required for this position.

This role requires 4 days on site in Central London.
