Howden, Corporate & Commercial are on the hunt for an Insurance Administrator to help and support with the day-to-day tasks in the office. We are looking for a bright, personable, self-motivated individual for this entry level role. You will be supporting a team of Account Handlers to provide clients with appropriate advice and a quality service to meet their individual insurance needs.

This position is ideal for a recent school or college leaver looking for their first career opportunity.

We will provide you with all the training and support you need to learn our business, gain recognised industry qualifications and progress into an Account Handler role.

Please note this is a full-time, permanent opportunity. You will be based in our Maidstone office and ideally be onsite for 3 days per week on average.

Overview:

  • To support the commercial schemes team in a wide variety of administration tasks - chasing no claims bonus.
  • Assist in handling and directing incoming calls and emails.
  • Ensuring records are kept up to date.
  • Following up on any outstanding requirements from client questions ensuring they are actioned by an appropriate team member.
  • Dealing with the post on a daily basis.
  • Diary Management.
  • Distribution of post to the correct people within the business.
  • Doing ad hoc work as and when requested.

Knowledge:

  • A minimum of 12 months experience in an administration position.
  • A school/college/university leaver looking to start a career in insurance.
  • Knowledge on all Microsoft packages.

Skills:

  • Self-motivated.
  • A willingness to learn.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills verbally and written.
  • Being able to use your own initiative.
  • Work well on your own and in a team.

Qualifications:

  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
