We are looking for a proactive and resourceful EA/PA to join an Authority whose purpose is to make a better future for people and the environment in mining areas.

About the company:

They deliver a broad range of vital services—from addressing coal mining hazards to protecting people and the environment from mine water pollution. Their efforts are also driving the development of a new, sustainable source of renewable energy in the UK. By tapping into the heat from mine water, they aim to play a significant role in helping the UK achieve its net-zero emissions target by 2050. This is a genuinely supportive organisation where everyone embodies the core values. They are inclusive, trusted, and forward-thinking in all that they do.

What will you be doing?

Proactively manage the non-executive directors, and executive leadership team, maintain email and electronic diaries, manage stakeholders, organise and make travel / accommodation arrangements, process expense claims and any other administrative tasks as they arise.

Act as gatekeeper for contact with the Chair and other non-executive directors using your own initiative to resolve issues and respond to queries as appropriate.

Work with directors and their executive assistants to maintain a forward plan of items to ensure that relevant papers are produced on time, for distribution in high quality electronic meeting packs.

Take and produce accurate minutes for a variety of meetings (including decision-making committees) across the business.

Sign agreed correspondence on behalf of executives and non-executives in their absence.

Plan and co-ordinate meetings in conjunction with colleagues in your team, including:
