Job Summary:
Our client is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join their team as soon as possible as an Industrial Cleaner. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and ensuring the smooth operation of our client's facilities.
The role will be split between the clients site in Newbury and their other site in Thatcham. Half the role will be cleaning offices, a canteen, corridors and changing rooms in Newbury and the other half will be industrial cleaning in a warehouse, supply chain, yard environment in Thatcham.
Working hours are 7am - 5pm with a half an hour lunch break, for example:
7am - 12.00am Newbury
12.00am - 12.30pm Lunch
12.30pm - 5.00pm Thatcham
The hourly rate is £11.44 per hour with the chance to earn £1.20 extra per hour as an attendance bonus if you complete 45 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitise designated areas according to established procedures.
- Perform routine tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
- Empty rubbish and dispose of waste materials in an appropriate manner.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to create a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in industrial cleaning or a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and procedures.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools safely.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
- A valid driver's licence and a clean driving record are required.
