This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 6-12 months experience in IT, who is looking for good progression for their career too. Joining as a Junior Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for providing first-line technical support and perform systems administration tasks.
The ideal candidate will have a good grasp of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, and basic knowledge of Active Directory and group policy. Familiarity with email security and authentication methods such as SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line technical support to end-users, resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Assist in the administration and maintenance of Microsoft Windows environments.
- Manage user accounts and permissions using Active Directory and group policy.
- Monitor and ensure the security of email systems, implementing and maintaining policies (e.g. SPF, DKIM, and DMARC).
- Assist with the deployment and configuration of new systems and software.
- Create and maintain documentation for IT procedures and systems.
- Support the IT team in various projects and tasks as needed.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Good understanding of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
- Basic knowledge of Active Directory and group policy.
- Familiarity with email security and authentication methods (e.g., SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Fundamentals) are a plus but not required.
