**Purpose of the Role

The role focuses on effectively managing rental income, supporting tenants in maintaining their rent payments, and working with various support services to prevent arrears.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience of managing rent and service charge accounts
  • Experience of using a database to track arrears and record interventions

**Key Responsibilities

  • Rental Income Management: Oversee day-to-day rent collection and manage arrears recovery following organizational policies.
  • Tenant Communication: Provide proactive communication regarding rent accounts through various channels.
  • Support for Tenants: Offer firm, non-judgemental advice, helping residents understand available support and their responsibilities.
  • Arrears Agreements: Work with residents to create sustainable arrears repayment plans and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Legal Action: Escalate cases to legal proceedings as needed and represent Causeway in court when required.
  • Collaborative Support: Partner with internal teams, local authorities, and external support organizations to help customers sustain their tenancies.
