Job title: Senior Commercial Finance Analyst

Salary range: £60K-£70K

Location: Hybrid (office location is Milton Keynes 1 / 2 days per week)

Reporting line: Group Finance Director

Are you a talented senior commercial finance analyst with excellent commercial and communication skills, looking for a new and exciting opportunity to work for a growing group within the ICT support services industry?

The Group launched its acquisition strategy following investment by a PE fund at the end of 2022. Having recently completed its second acquisition, with more in the pipeline, the Group is looking to expand its team and reporting capabilities through the hiring of a senior commercial finance analyst as it embarks on a group finance and data transformation change.

This role will focus on all things related to commercial finance and will act as the key join between group finance and the service delivery, operations and sales teams. My client is looking for someone who has an inquisitive mindset, enjoys solving problems, and is a team player.

The role is varied but will cover the following key responsibilities.

  • Business partnering with key senior stakeholders up to the Board level, to inform them on business performance, and future opportunities.
  • Make commercial recommendations in areas such as customer contract T&Cs, and supplier agreements, to maximise margin potential.
  • Identify and implement key areas of process improvement and standardisation to drive efficiencies and improve the bottom line as the group scales.
  • Generate forecasts and budgets to lay the roadmap for future success of the group.
  • Producing finance analysis in areas such as product and service line P&Ls, business unit P&Ls, customer and project P&Ls, and overall business cases for new service offerings.
  • Proactive approach to provision of data driven insight to senior management to assist with decision making and optimising the growth of the business.
  • Other ad-hoc financial tasks to support group finance.

This role will sit within the newly formed group finance organisation but have a dotted line to the Chief Delivery Officer and Operations function.

As the group expands, there will be further opportunity to develop, and grow a team that would be cross functional, implementing a deal desk structure as the business evolves.

Requirements:

  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA/CIPFA Fully Qualified
  • Commercially savy and able to identify, challenge and recommend decision making processes in the above-mentioned areas to senior leadership to ensure financial goals are met.
  • Effective communication skills, with experience of working closely with the senior leadership team and dealing with Board requests.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with Power BI.
  • Strong ability to work with complex data sets, and multiple different finance and non-finance systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to present financial information to non-financial people.
  • Experience within an IT services organisation or similar professional services business is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience within a business that has scaled over a 5-year period would be advantageous but also not essential.
  • A "can-do" attitude to drive change and culture.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary based on experience.
  • Opportunities for professional development and training
  • Collaborative and innovative work environment
  • Flexible working arrangements, whereby employees are currently spending 1-2 days in the core group office (Milton Keynes)
  • Some travel requirements (within UK) as the group expands through M&A activities.
  • Clear career development plans.
