Salary: £153.85 – £238.59 per day (MPS/UPS)

GSL Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join the team of an Ofsted graded Outstanding School, approximately 13 miles north of York, starting as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Teacher of Maths, looking for immediate work. Early Career Teachers are welcome to apply.

Teacher of Maths Role Overview:

As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4; Years 7 to 10. You will have the opportunity to foster a love of mathematics in students, support their academic growth, and contribute to the wider school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality maths lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for maths.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
  • Participate in departmental and whole-school meetings, contributing to the ongoing improvement of teaching and learning practices.
  • Support and mentor students, fostering their academic and personal development.

Requirements:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Maths, with a relevant STEM Degree.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to creating a stimulating and supportive learning environment for all students.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic school setting.
  • An Enhanced DBS registered to the update service, or the willingness to apply for one via GSL Education. DBS sponsorship is available.
  • References from within the last 2 years, that show a proven track record of attainment. Placement Schools will be accepted for Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
