Job Description of the Sales Manager:
- The company are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to join our team. Working within our Industrial Stretch film division, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key technical and strategic accounts. You will have full responsibility to manage and maximise sales and profitability across both an existing customer base and new business development opportunities.
- As a Sales Manager, you will be highly organised, self-motivated and able to analyse performance metrics. We also expect you to have strong negotiation skills and the ability to collaborate closely with cross functional teams across the group to drive industrial stretch wrap sales.
- The role will be a key part of company's drive in the development and implementation of our growing range of Sustainable Stretch film packaging solutions, identifying key sectors for growth by populating and maintaining a strong pipeline with a high level of conversion.
Key Responsibilities of the Sales Manager:
- Be accountable for sales growth of the technical stretch film range via customer interaction, audits & optimisation.
- Deliver sales targets for their volume and profitability growth.
- Liaise with UK & EU Colleagues to achieve common strategies.
- Implementing a strategic sales plan that expands the company's stretch film customer and market base whilst aligned with company's sustainability goals.
- Act as the technical liaison between customers and internal teams ensuring clients' requirements are met.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, acting as their primary technical support so as to ensure long-term success.
- Keep the business updated on key markets trends & developments to support our R, D & I team with the latest innovative requirements in the market.
- Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings, according to company standards.
- Liaise with Sales and Marketing departments to set and implement strategies for new products.
- Stay up to date with internal and external developments and suggest new ways to increase sales
Requirements:
- Experience in a technical stretch film sales or product development role preferred but not required as full training will be provided
- Detailed understanding of polymer driven manufacturing
- Detailed understanding and keen interest in Sustainability and the market demands
- Demonstrable experience in negotiating and meeting client's requirements.
- In-depth understanding of sales performance metrics.
- Hands on experience with CRM software and MS Office.
- Excellent analytical and organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Availability to travel as required - UK and overseas.
Salary:
- £60,000 - £67,000 pa depending on experience.
