Credit Controller

We are currently offering a 12-month fixed-term contract for a Credit Controller to join our client's growing team. The ideal candidate will be flexible, proactive, and eager to contribute to the development and improvement of our client's services and procedures.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Oversee the smooth running of the sales ledger.
- Prepare and issue invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Chase customer payments, liaising with service users and public sector funding bodies.
- Support managers and administrative staff in understanding and managing debt.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on outstanding debts to all levels of the business.
- Identify and implement system and procedural improvements.
- Deliver training to colleagues on financial processes.
- Contribute to end-of-year accounting and audits.
- Conduct internal audits.
- Assist with purchase ledger, payroll queries, VAT returns, and other general finance tasks as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum part AAT qualified.
- Experience in sales ledger and credit control
- Commercially astute and business-focused.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
