Operations Assistant

An unmissable opportunity has opened up right now for a talented, driven, and motivated operations assistant to make your mark within a fast-growing, award-winning insurance company.

Reporting to the Operations Director, this exciting newly created position will launch a highly organised multitasker with excellent IT skills on an incredibly rewarding career path, you will work closely with the Operations Director, providing essential support across IT, Compliance, HR, and Health & Safety.

Fully office-based in Guildford, you will be pivotal to ensuring the business's day-to-day operations run successfully and smoothly. You'll also be helping a thriving team enhance further its excellent reputation for, and commitment to, exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing technical support (such as desktop and phone assistance) to the internal team.
  • Assisting and supporting the Operations Director in coordinating IT projects and managing changes to the CRM system.
  • Maintaining the company compliance policies, in line with its Compliance Monitoring plan.
  • Ensuring all the paperwork and data are maintained and updated.
  • Monitoring the company's training schedule.
  • Supporting the executive team's diary management.
  • Assisting with recruitment and helping onboard new starters.

This wonderful role is very varied and demands strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks and duties as and when needed. Alongside versatility, you will exercise the quality of strong confidentiality and professionalism. Candidates must have experience in a similar role (ideally in the insurance industry) so you can demonstrate:

  • outstanding communication, listening, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • an open and enquiring mindset that's keen to learn new skills and committed to your own personal development and growth, so you can apply new knowledge and skills to helping evolve the company to meet the challenges ahead.
  • excellent people skills, which will be crucial to managing relationships (both internal and external).
  • an understanding of how you're actively supporting and maintaining the company's values and culture.
