Spencer Clarke Group are seeking an Adventure Sports Coach for a Local Authority Client based in East London.
In this role, you will lead and deliver a variety of engaging outdoor sports activities, inspiring young people and promoting physical fitness and well-being within the borough's community.
About the role:
You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:
- Deliver engaging and safe outdoor sports sessions for schools, community groups, and youth organisations.
- Support the planning, organisation, and promotion of a wide range of adventure activities.
- Assist in managing and delivering accredited programs, including Duke of Edinburgh expeditions and training.
- Complete risk assessments, plan off-site visits, and use the EVOLVE system to record and approve activities.
- Maintain records, prepare reports, and carry out general administrative duties.
About you:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Experience working with young people.
- Experience in delivering outdoor and adventure sports activities, such as canoeing, rock climbing, mountain biking, and skating.
- Experience planning and organising sports sessions, including risk assessment and safety management.
- Understanding of health and safety practices related to adventure sports and youth work.
What's on offer:
Salary: £21+ph
- may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday - Friday, 35 hours per week
