Position: Assistant HR & Administration Manager (Maternity Cover)

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract (12 months)

Working Pattern: Full-Time, Monday to Friday 08.30 - 17.00 or as required to meet the needs of the business

Are you ready to take your HR and Administration skills to the next level? Our client, a thriving firm in Crewe, UK, is seeking an Assistant HR & Administration Manager to join their dynamic team on a fixed term basis.

You will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations and exceptional customer service across the office. Working alongside the management team, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact by efficiently managing daily administration tasks and supporting recruitment and personnel processes. Attention to detail is crucial in this role, as you will be responsible for maintaining required standards.

The ideal candidate is proactive, experienced in management and administration, and adept at utilising Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. As a self-motivated individual, you will take pride in your work, thrive under pressure, and possess exceptional organisational and self-management skills. Your ability to prioritise tasks effectively and continuously improve your knowledge and skills will set you apart.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle client inquiries via email and phone, delivering exceptional customer service
  • Manage all aspects of HR, including right to work checks and screening in line with industry standards
  • Oversee recruitment processes, from monitoring job ads to conducting interviews
  • Assist new and existing employees with queries and issues
  • Ensure smooth onboarding and offboarding processes for staff members
  • Maintain accurate data in functional systems and spreadsheets
  • Support Directors with PA duties when necessary
  • Log absences and conduct back to work calls
  • Supervise daily transport checks and email alarm reports
  • Monitor company licences and facilitate renewals
  • Coordinate office activities such as cleaning, ordering supplies, and signing in/out visitors
  • Manage the team's working day and ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Step in for the HR & Administration Manager during their absence
