The Fleet Maintenance Manager will be tasked with overseeing operational maintenance management within a logistics distribution and supply chain sector business focusing on both internal and external repairs processes.

The Fleet Maintenance Manager will be working for a national service based transport business focused on a HGV fleet

Description

  • Manage the maintenance team in place and ensure management of external suppliers is appropriately escalated
  • Support the core operations team with clear communication
  • Provide technical advice to the fleet and core operations teams
  • Control repair costs across the region
  • Positively challenge repair costs to ensure expenditure is efficient
  • Uphold policies around repairs invoicing
  • Managing and improving key operational KPIs around tyre checks, proactive maintenance and scheduled services
  • Drive environmental thinking and impact across the operation

Profile

  • Significant experience of leading a maintenance focused fleet operation
  • Able to demonstrate a suitable focus on both quality and cost
  • Relevant working background as a vehicle technician/qualifications is very advantageous
  • Demonstrable experience of controlling costs with external suppliers
  • Fleet MI system experience is an advantage
  • Regularly commutable to Tamworth

Job Offer

The successful candidate for the Fleet Maintenance Manager role will be offered a salary of between £45,000 and £50,000 plus strong package
