Your new company
Hays are working in partnership with a school in the Crosby area who are looking for of an experienced, dedicated teaching assistant to support a child in KS1 with additional needs. The school is looking to appoint someone for the academic year on a full-time basis to start in September and someone who can provide tailored support and create a nurturing learning environment for the child.
Your new role
You will be providing one-on-one support for a child with additional needs, ensuring they are able to achieve their full potential. You will work closely with teachers to implement
Individual education plans whilst fostering a safe and positive learning environment. You will be expected to monitor and report on the child's progress as well as assist with the development of social skills and independence.What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience working with children in schools, particularly those with SEN. You will be a patient, compassionate, person, with a strong desire to support children's learning and development. You will possess excellent communication skills and can collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and external agencies. You will need to be proactive, organised, and able to adapt to the dynamic needs of the role. You will ideally hold relevant qualifications, such as your level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.
