Credit Control Clerk

Our Client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented French-Speaking Credit Controller to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will be fluent in French and experienced in credit control or accounts receivable, with a passion for managing credit risk and maintaining excellent customer relationships. However they could consider a French speaking customer service professional/administrator, who is looking to develop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Credit Management: Manage and monitor the credit exposure of French-speaking clients to minimise risk and ensure timely collections.
  • Debt Collection: Communicate with customers via phone, email, and other platforms to follow up on overdue invoices and ensure prompt payment.
  • Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams to facilitate effective account management.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates and detailed reports on debtor accounts, outstanding invoices, and collection efforts to senior management.
  • Dispute Resolution: Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve disputes related to invoicing, payments, and credit limits.
  • Credit Checks: Conduct thorough credit checks on new customers and assess their credit worthiness based on financial data.
  • Process Improvement: Support continuous improvement of credit control processes to enhance efficiency and results.

Requirements:

  • Fluent in French (spoken and written) - essential for managing French-speaking client accounts.
  • Previous experience in credit control, accounts receivable, desired.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle challenging discussions professionally.
  • High attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
