Compliance Intelligence Analyst

**Here's what you'll be doing

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Compliance Analyst to join our Energy Infrastructure Solutions (EIS) Compliance team. This team is integral to providing Data Protection, Audit, Internal Controls, Risk Management analysis, Insight, and Executive management reporting across EIS. Audit / Assurance & Training:

  • Manage and complete first-line Data Protection assurance audits.
  • Provide reporting, analysis, and identify root causes across all EIS functions, making recommendations for improvements to key stakeholders including the EIS Executive team.
  • Support accurate reporting to the EIS Executive on audit performance.
  • Conduct necessary assurance activities as required.
  • Support and arrange Prisma risk training sessions across EIS.
  • Provide training on raising data protection incidents and subject access requests across EIS.
  • Upskill EIS on internal control principles and controls.

Risks (PRISMA), UK GDPR, Internal Controls, & Management Information (MI):

  • Develop dashboards and monthly reports to drive engagement, liaising across EIS to gather requirements and deliver effective reporting.
  • Continually seek improvements in oversight to drive engagement.
  • Support quarterly risk and opportunities management reporting to the group.
  • Manage all subject access requests on behalf of EIS business areas, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Ensure data protection reporting is accurate and complete.
  • Ensure all data breaches are reported in accordance with legal requirements and timescales to the central Data Protection Team, providing root cause analysis and improvement recommendations.
  • Manage unstructured data deletion controls and assurance.
  • Identify trends and make recommendations to key stakeholders including the EIS Executive team.
  • Support the completion of data impact assessments.
  • Support the internal controls roll-out within EIS.
  • Provide oversight and systems to enable effective management of controls and an efficient annual sign-off with the EIS Executive and COO.
  • Contribute to the building of self-assessment processes and methodologies for evidence provision across EIS.
  • Support issue management reporting as part of the ICS cycle.
  • Manage the EIS monthly compliance pack, ensuring completion, identifying issues, and challenging data to ensure accurate reporting and oversight to the EIS Executive.
  • Make recommendations to ensure the pack is relevant and provides timely management oversight.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting to support oversight and reduce financial risks.

  • Able to work on your own initiative being proactive in identifying compliance risks to the business.
  • Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple priorities and delivering to targets.
  • Ability to challenge stakeholders at all levels with confident influencing skills.
  • Confident verbal communicator at all levels
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Packages, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to translate complex data sets and be able to create understandable reports
  • High levels of attention to detail and accuracy

It would be good if you have:

  • Good working knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements such as General Data Protection Regulation
  • Previous experience of compliance monitoring and controls testing
  • Power Bi
