Project Finance Analyst

Our Client seeks a Project Finance Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis. The Project Finance Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the financial health and profitability of projects within the organisation. The Project Finance Analyst will provide accurate and timely management and financial reporting, which is essential for informed decision-making by the finance and executive teams. The Project Finance Analyst works closely with the Group FP&A Manager, the Executive Director of Finance and IT, and various project stakeholders to maintain and enhance project profitability reporting and the utilization of key project management tools.

Key Accountabilities:

DATA ANALYSIS AND REPORTING:

  • Preparing fee forecast reports for Directors'
  • Providing ad-hoc reports on fees, sub-consultants, time, non-rechargeable and rechargeable expenses.
  • Generating project status and time
  • Creating dashboards and performing financial modelling using advanced formulas and pivot
  • Gathering and combining data from multiple sources, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and

PROJECT COST MANAGEMENT:

  • Management of the project sub-consultant process from start to finish including encouraging purchase orders to be raised, posting sub-consultant invoices, accruing for costs where necessary, and maintaining the work in progress balance for rechargeable costs.
  • Performing the monthly cost write off
  • Reconciling rechargeable costs rechargeable expenses.

PROJECT FEE MANAGEMENT:

  • Collecting fee supporting client correspondence and written communication with Directors, Associate Directors, Associates, and Project Architects.
  • Supplying the Sales Ledger Clerks with the information needed to prepare timely and accurate sales invoices against correct work stages, including handling adjustment journals if needed.

Key requirements for the Project Finance Analyst include:

  • Strong data analytical skills and attention to detail for interpreting financial data accurately.
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • VBA, SQL, PowerPivot, Power Query are advantageous, however not essential.
  • Effective communication with stakeholders, including directors and auditors, is crucial.
  • Able to do multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • A background in purchase and sales ledger, along with experience in managing financial tasks and collaborating with stakeholders, is required.
