Business Development Manager

Are you a dynamic and results-driven professional with a passion for digital marketing? Grey's Specialist Recruitment is seeking a talented Business Development Manager (BDM) with absolutely no cold calling involved, to join our client's innovative team. This is a customer-facing, video sales-based role that involves consulting with and acquiring clients for a comprehensive suite of digital marketing services. Please note, for this role you must have sold Digital Advertising services, including SEO, PPC, Paid Social and web design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Acquisition: Utilise a consultative approach to qualify prospects, uncover business needs, and present tailored digital marketing solutions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with regional publishing centres to support and generate quality leads.
  • Sales Process: Implement a two-call approach to acquire new business—initial fact-finding followed by closing.
  • Presentation: Use branded sales materials to create compelling client presentations, ensuring brand continuity.
  • Client Focus: Always prioritise clients' best interests in every recommended solution.
  • Time Management: Conduct all sales calls via video conference, primarily using MS Teams.
  • Sales Conversion: Achieve a sales conversion rate of 30%+ using proven methodologies.
  • Documentation: Ensure all sales-related documentation is completed accurately and promptly.
  • Onboarding: Collaborate with the Digital Account Manager to onboard new clients and support existing ones.
  • Revenue Targets: Secure at least £4,000 of new recurring media spend each month.
  • Upselling: Continuously look for upsell opportunities across all accounts with the Digital Account Manager.
  • Professional Development: Engage with development initiatives and seek personal growth through industry qualifications.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • IT Competency: Be proficient in relevant IT systems, particularly CRM.
  • Team Player: Actively contribute to team meetings, performance reviews, and strategic discussions.
  • Brand Ambassador: Represent the brand positively both internally and externally.

Success Metrics:

  • Monthly "set live" revenue
  • Monthly sales generation
  • Monthly recurring revenue spend
  • Sales conversion rate
  • Sales activity (via CRM)
  • Pipeline management
  • Interaction and relationship management with key stakeholders

Location: 100% Home Based, with video conferencing as primary communication mode
Salary: £32-£35k + bonus | OTE: Year 1 - £55K, Year 2 - £75K
Package: Enhanced holiday plus company benefits
