Position – Compliance Manager
Industry – Fuel Distribution, Heating, & Engineering
Location – Elgin
Salary/Package – £40,000 - £50,000, 40-hour week/Mon to Fri, Office based, Health & wellbeing programme, Free parking.
Client
A trusted fuel supplier, supporting agricultural and commercial sectors with fuel, lubricants, and greases. Our depots serve the domestic heating market with a variety of services throughout Scotland.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the Permit to Work (PTW) system, ensuring all necessary permits are issued and adhered to.
- Develop and roll out training programmes related to the Permit to Work process for staff.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with routine maintenance schedules across all sites.
- Complete and maintain documentation for renewable fuels, ensuring all paperwork is accurate and up to date.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- ISO 14001,19001 & 45001 system maintenance and compliance
- Maintenance of HSE records and reporting
- Auditing, measuring, and reporting HSEQ performance.
- Provide support, education, and training employees.
- Coordinating internal and external HSEQ inspections and audits
- You will be expected to partake in HSE investigations and monitoring the changing environment of safety and operations.
- Introduce and maintain site policies and procedures to comply with UK Legislation and Governing Bodies.
- Will predominantly office based some travel will be required to other sites.
- Facilitate all building maintenance projects including liaising with contractors, and ensuring works are carried out cost effective and safe manner.
- Making sure compliance training is completed and up to date of colleagues.
- Safety checks ensuring RAMs are completed.
Qualifications
- NEBOSH general certificate or other formal safety qualifications desirable but would be happy to put candidate through this!
- IOSH Managing Safely
- Full Clean driving licence
- Knowledge of ISO legislation and standards(essential)
- Chemical industry experience or transport industry desirable but not essential
