Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Powder Coater to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying powder coatings to a variety of components, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets our stringent quality standards. Experience in wet painting is highly desirable and will be considered an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply powder coatings to components using electrostatic powder coating equipment.
- Operate and maintain powder coating equipment, including ovens and spray booths.
- Prepare surfaces for coating, including cleaning, and masking
- Ensure components are coated to the correct thickness and finish, adhering to industry and customer specifications.
- Perform quality checks on coated components, using equipment such as Dry Film Thickness (DFT) measurement tools.
- If trained to do so, handle and apply a variety of wet paint systems including multi-coat systems.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Powder Coater, with additional experience in wet painting preferred.
- Knowledge of different powder and wet paint systems and their applications.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
