I am exclusively working with a fantastic company within the property space hiring for an Accounts Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for someone studying their ACCA/CIMA.
This position provides outstanding exposure to various accounting functions and ample opportunities for career advancement.
- Hybrid: 4 days in 1 from home
- Salary: Up to £35,000 DOE
- Location: City of London
What can you expect?
- Ensure bank reconciliations are completed in accordance with the month end timetable.
- Set up payments on the various banking portals, as and when requested.
- Complete quarterly VAT returns and ensure POA are made in a timely manner.
- Assist with any audit requests that may arise at year end.
- Complete various reconciliations - supplier statements, balance sheet, etc.
- Providing cover for Accounts Receivable bank postings.
- Assisting with process reviews i.e. writing process notes.
- Any other ad hoc administrative tasks as required.
What skills and attributes will you bring?
- Proven relevant experience working in accounts teams (minimum 2 years).
- Studying AAT or ACCA.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel user.
- High attention to detail (essential).
- Inquisitive mindset, keen to get involved in all areas of finance.
- Effective communicator with excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Organised mind-set with the ability to multi-task.
- Adaptable, flexible and open to learning new skills, developing expertise and taking instruction.
