As the Deputy Manager of their EBD home, you will play a crucial role in leading our team and ensuring the well-being and development of the children in our care.
The Role:
As the Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the home. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing leadership, guidance, and support to the care team, ensuring that the needs of the children are met effectively.
- Collaborating with external agencies, families, and stakeholders to develop and implement individual care plans for each child.
- Ensuring that the home complies with regulatory requirements and best practice standards.
- Conducting regular assessments and reviews to monitor the progress and well-being of the children.
- Supporting the Registered Manager in staff recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Promoting a positive and inclusive environment where children feel valued, respected, and empowered.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children and young people with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders in a residential care setting.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and families.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach, with a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children.
- NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent (preferred).
- Full driving license and access to a vehicle (preferred).
