Leading luxury Travel Company are expanding their Middle East and North Africa specialist team and are looking for a Senior Travel Specialist who is passionate about this area of the world and has travelled to and sold this area in a previous role.This is an excellent chance to work for a well-respected and market leader in tour operations. In this role you will be creating memorable journeys, looking after the client from initial contact through to building itineraries, confirming travel arrangements, making contact upon their return, and setting up their next exciting travel experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Take enquiries over the phone and via e-mail for package and tailor-made itineraries to The Middle East and North Africa
  • Offer excellent customer service, building a rapport with clients
  • Close the sale and convert enquires to bookings, to meet team sales targets
  • Follow up on enquiries with courtesy calls to maintain good customer service and ensure maximum booking potential
  • Related administration i.e. booking confirmations and chasing payments
  • To routinely attend product training sessions, including participating on company sponsored educational trips
  • Represent the company at client events and trade exhibitions and be an ambassador for the brand.
  • Maintain regular contact with clients (and travel agents) to keep them informed of progress and the status of booking, including updating on developments.
  • Complete the relevant educational pre and post trip paperwork, including the preparation and delivery of a presentation to your team and the office
  • Use effective questioning techniques to effectively establish client requirements and then use your product knowledge to create a bespoke itinerary.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Interest, passion, and knowledge for North Africa & Middle East
  • 2 years minimum Travel Sales experience
  • Adhere to hours of work as the company requires, maintaining optimum cover for client enquiries
  • Meet client and colleague expectations by maintaining a professionally consistent attitude towards your work
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Keen to progress and develop a career within the travel industry

THE PACKAGE:

This offers a starting salary of £32,000 pa plus commission. Monday to Friday 0900-1730 office hours, Saturday on a rota basis and excellent company benefits.

This is an established reputable company who are very much expanding. They also offer the opportunity to apply for hybrid working after a period of training.
